January is a great time to clear your inbox of unwanted repetitive emails.

Throughout the year, I have a tendency to subscribe to threads and email lists that seem interesting to me, help me solve a problem and/or generally offer some valuable advice. This is great because I get to learn great things from lots of smart people.

But there is a downside.
